Sweet Beginnings: A Spotlight on JDAS

From rich cinnamon rolls to velvety tres leches, JDAS is making waves in the local dessert scene—one sweet treat at a time. What began as a heartfelt tribute to family traditions has now grown into a beloved small business, serving up baked goods that not only taste amazing but are made with love and purpose.

We sat down with the founder behind JDAS to learn more about her journey, what sets her creations apart, and her dreams of opening a brick-and-mortar bakery in Oxnard. Whether you’re a die-hard dessert lover or just have a casual sweet tooth, JDAS has something special for everyone.

Tell us a little bit about your company. What do you specialize in? I make an array of sweets that will satisfy any sweet tooth that include cinnamon rolls, tres leches, cupcakes, cakes, brownies, cookies, to name a few. I make sweets for all occasions!

Why did you start your business? My dad is the reason I started baking. When I was younger, he used to make cupcakes for my class and birthday's. He's known in our family for his Rum Cake, he will bring that to every party. He made baking look so fun!

What sets you apart from other brands similar to yours? What sets JDAS apart is our unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction and creating memorable sweet experiences. We go above and beyond to ensure every customer not only enjoys our treats but feels truly valued. Our commitment to our staple flavors and attention to high quality ingredients has earned us a positive reputation in the community.

Where do you see the future of your business? The next year is good.
I would like to open my own bakery [brick and motar] in Oxnard.

Where are your products offered? I'm at the Downtown Oxnard Farmers Market every first Thursdays or you can message me on Instagram.
